Builders

  1. Africa Founder Residency: A pivotal initiative for top African founders, providing essential tools and infrastructure to build within the Ethereum ecosystem. Optimism is invited to anchor this initiative, aiming to boost crypto adoption in Africa.
  2. Autonomous World: Dedicated to creating AW House, a nurturing ecosystem for builders in autonomous worlds and fully on-chain games, enhancing public good.
  3. Brazilian Devs: This project focuses on developing an extensive online educational course to onboard 200 new developers into the Optimism blockchain ecosystem, offering foundational training for proficient development.
  4. Breadcrumbs: A blockchain analytics platform offering tools for investigation, monitoring, and sharing on-chain activities, with a mission to democratize blockchain analytics through free education and community-driven data.
  5. Harberger: Introducing the Harberger Tax concept to blockchain via smart contracts, this project develops an NFT-based application and proposes an EIP for On-Chain Harberger Tax standardization.
  6. Hedgehog: A gas derivatives protocol focusing on L2 rollups and account abstraction wallets, aiming to build secure infrastructure for on-chain financial derivatives, including a diverse range of hedging options.
  7. Infinity Wallet: An all-in-one non-custodial wallet ecosystem and Web3 browser designed to facilitate user interaction with crypto, payment, DeFi, NFT, and Web3 needs, targeting mass adoption by less tech-savvy users.
  8. Inheriti: Safe Haven's project to deploy Inheriti’s smart contract on Optimism, providing a decentralized solution for data backup and digital inheritance to builders and users.
  9. MultiBaas: A blockchain middleware that significantly accelerates DApp development, offering integrated functions like high-performance chain indexing, node management, and transaction automation.
  10. Ocean Protocol: A decentralized protocol focused on unlocking big data for AI and research, offering development tools for dApp developers and data scientists to access IP in a privacy-preserving way.
  11. Reputation & Roles: Developing open-source systems for tracking trust between entities using Reputation Tokens and assigning Roles through the Hats Protocol based on this trust.
  12. Scalind: A tool designed to facilitate the launch of L2 chains based on OP Stack, enhancing scalability and efficiency.
  13. Soldeer: A specialized dependency manager for smart contracts, aiming to improve security and transparency in contract development away from traditional platforms like GitHub or npmjs.
  14. Station Labs: Station Labs is innovating in onchain protocol and network infrastructure, enabling NFTs on Optimism to function as smart contract wallets with evolving visual identities based on chain and off-chain events.
  15. Superchain Resolver: Focused on building a Superchain resolver for OP-based chains, this project involves developing, auditing, and refining a system for secure and seamless record editing with enhanced user trust.
  16. viaPrize: The only platform enabling the creation of crowdfunded prizes to incentivize the production of public goods, viaPrize.org addresses the tragedy of the commons through collaborative peer-to-peer solutions.

Growth

  1. Beefy: Aiming to develop universal zap technology to facilitate seamless interaction with any protocols or smart contracts across chains, aligning with Optimism’s vision for a harmonized cross-chain experience.
  2. DRPC.ORG: Launched as a decentralized RPC node network, DRPC.ORG offers a reliable and affordable RPC solution for the Ethereum ecosystem, combining multiple providers for enhanced service quality.
  3. Immunefi: An extension of a prior initiative, this project focuses on subsidizing payouts for critical and high bugs in protocols outside Velodrome, enhancing security across the ecosystem.
  4. Kwenta: As a popular perps exchange on Optimism, Kwenta plays a significant role in user onboarding and network activity, with a referral program aimed at expanding its reach and impact.
  5. Lemon Cash: Lemon Cash streamlines retail user onboarding to Web 3 and crypto, offering an accessible mobile app for trading and investing in cryptocurrencies and integrating decentralized applications.
  6. Lyra Finance: Lyra V2 is a self-custodial, modular, and efficient platform for on-chain derivatives trading, developed on the OP Stack.
  7. Velodrome: A decentralized exchange and automated market maker on the Optimism network, It focuses on providing deep liquidity with low fees and slippage, serving as a primary liquidity hub and enhancing trading efficiency

Season 4 of the Optimism Collective's grants program, culminating with Cycle 15, has been a journey of significant growth and refinement, marking an inflection point in the program's history. The increase in proposal submissions and the diverse range of innovative projects reflect the community's growing engagement and the council's dedication to fostering a robust ecosystem. The selective nature of Cycle 15 highlights the evolving standards of quality and professionalism expected from proposers. This cycle not only contributes to the season's substantial grant allocation but also underscores the council's commitment to making Optimism a leading destination for Web3 builders and participants.
