Metagov is an 800-member research collective working at the frontier of online governance research and development. Our initiatives significantly align with Optimism's objectives: 1. Development: Projects including Validator Commons, Web3 Grant Report, DAOstar, Metagov Gateway, DAOscience, PolicyKit, Agreement Engine, CommunityRule, and Collective Voice, have laid the groundwork for advanced governance experimentation.2. Discussions: Initiatives like the ongoing Metagovernance Seminar since 2020, DAO Harvard, Stanford DAO Workshop, What’s Governing Web3 at RMIT, Building blocks of Web 3.0 at Harvard Law School, and Open Problems in DAOs at various locations, Metagov House @ ETH Denver, residencies such as DAO Palace, have facilitated focused discussions around online governance.
