Lore’s V2 helps mainstream communities access crypto superpowers.The V2 launched on Base on 10/11/23 with 3 launch communities. 57 unique users have onboarded. The V2 was also deployed to Optimism on 10/19/23.In July 2023, we deployed the first-ever cross-chain wallet controlled by a community or smart wallet using Lit Protocol on the Chronicle OP L2 testnet.We learned on mainnet (with over 1000 groups) that mainstream communities wanted to engage their members to crowdfund a transparent treasury and crowdsource decisions to reward contributors, play w/ nfts, etc. But they ran into 3 issues.#1 — Transaction costs were prohibitive #2 — Onboarding experience was intimidating mainstream.#3 — Opportunities were fragmented across many chains and often only available to EOA wallets.
V2 is a new mainstream-friendly, Reddit-like experience for communities to access crypto superpowers at much cheaper costs on the Base/Optimism L2. New use cases are available for mainstream & crypto communities like co-creating media, local impact programs, community programs — growing whats possible on OP and onboarding newcomers through communities. Our testnet implementation of a trustless cross-chain wallet (on Chronicle OP L2) controlled by a community or smart wallet ties the OP stack closer to supported major chains like Bitcoin and Ethereum.This technology makes all dapps/protocols available to smart contract wallets which have had compatibility issues.Our opensource Github repo allows developers to access this technology to unlock many use cases.
