ETHAccra hackathon enabled participants to connect, learn, hack and build elevating web3 to solve local solutions.ETHAccra successfully conducted a developer campus tour across 4 universities in Ghana with the goal in training developers, igniting the passion in budding web3 leaders, recruited new builders, armed them with practical know-how and unlock a universe of opportunities in the ecosystem, Optimism included.

Impact

Developer EcosystemThe hackathon marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind in Ghana, paving the way for further innovation in the region. We had in total 97 registered hackers, many of the participants were first-time builders who were new to web3 technology. Hence ETHAccra has successfully welcomed and integrated these new builders into the ecosystem, and we remain committed to this mission. End User Experience and AdoptionAdditionally during the Developer Campus tour we have onboarded many participants into the Optimism ecosystem by setting up a MetaMask wallet and introducing them into the ecosystem. We also provided them with educational learning material on how to better navigate in the Optimism L2 ecosystem.
