Impact

Providing one of the first examples of hardware signing on OP Stack drew the community's attention toward Optimism. The popular thread received not only 600K views but also got RT support from nearly 500 individuals. After the development of Opclave, Renaud from the Ledger team conducted a study and published an article aimed at reducing the gas fee costs of the 'verifier' contract. This article prompted the entire ecosystem to examine the usage of secp256r1 in OP Stack. At a time when there were very few projects utilizing OP Stack technology, Opclave emerged and led the way for other projects. After Opclave, many projects worked on Hardware Signing and produced products. All of these have contributed to increasing the awareness of Optimism Collective among even more people.
